How to Create a Gallery Wall

Upcoming
Mini Sessions

Mini sessions might be short on time, but that doesn’t mean your wardrobe should be short on impact.

If you’re planning a family photo session in Atlanta this fall (or spring!), what you wear can be the difference between a gallery of “just okay” pictures… and timeless portraits you’ll frame for generations.

As a photographer who works with families across Georgia—especially those who value quality, simplicity, and beauty—I’ve put together my expert style guide for high-end mini sessions in Atlanta.

And yes: it includes exact boutiques and outfit links from Atlanta’s most timeless, upscale retailers.

In a 15–20 minute session, you don’t have time for wardrobe issues. Coordinated, well-chosen outfits instantly elevate the session—photographically and emotionally. For families who care about legacy and heirlooms, wardrobe should support the story you’re telling.

My Atlanta clients are often busy professionals, business owners, or creatives who want photos that feel editorial, elegant, and emotionally resonant—without looking like everyone else’s Christmas card.

Stick with 3-4 complimentary tones: think cream, sage, soft blue, warm taupe, or terracotta. In fall, add texture with knits and layers. In spring, go lighter with linen and natural cottons.

Simple textures (linen, rib knit, denim, cotton gauze) photograph beautifully. Logos and graphic prints distract from the emotion of the image.

Gone are the days of white shirts and jeans for everyone. Choose tones that complement without copying. Bonus: this also helps your kids’ personalities shine through.

Whether you’re looking for investment pieces, one perfect dress, or timeless children’s wear, these Atlanta boutiques deliver luxury and charm.

For mini sessions, I refer clients to my Style Guide PDF, full of wardrobe suggestions, color palette examples, and clickable links to the shops above.

Clients say it’s one of their favorite parts of working with me—because it takes the stress out of getting ready, and makes them feel immediately more confident before the shoot even starts.

Whether you’re booking a session in Buckhead, Brookhaven, Roswell, Woodstock, Inman Park, Smyrna or Sandy Springs, remember this: mini sessions are about capturing connection, not perfection.

Your clothing should reflect that.
Choose looks that make you feel beautiful.
Choose pieces that feel like you—not like a Pinterest board.

And if you want a little expert help?

You’re exactly who I created this guide for.
